We are a family-owned and operated travel consultants website fueled by a passion for showcasing the diverse beauty and rich culture of our home state of Tennessee.

My name is Joseph Stambray Caudle and I have lived in Tennessee for the last 40 of my 44 years. I studied Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, when the internet was still a novel concept, never imagining I would one day run a travel website. Over the last 40 years crisscrossing this great state, I used my travel experience to begin my freelance travel consulting business. This business is a passion that I continue today.

My wife Micah comes from a long line of Tennessee natives. She shares my thirst for adventure and my devotion to preserving our state’s natural splendor for generations to come. Together with our children, we regularly pack up the car and set off to create lasting memories across Tennessee as a family. From great barbeque joints in Memphis to the thundering majesty of a Tennessee Titans game in Nashville, through the rolling farm country in between, Micah has soaked up the diversity of our state her whole life.

We created traveltn.net as a way to share everything we’ve learned about this amazing place we call home. Our mission is to inspire others to explore Tennessee and help vacation dreams come true. We want to showcase all the hidden gems that the state has to offer. We explore everything from hiking trails with epic views to hole-in-the-wall music venues.

I am a big guy so one of my favorite hobbies is dining out. I try to find the best local restaurants in every area of Tennessee and then write about them. It is important to me to shop locally as much as possible. This blog might be on the internet, but it is still a small family business so I understand the hardships of small business owners.
