The Knoxville Hotels I Always Recommend to Visitors

Best Hotels Knoxville TN

I’ve lived in the Knoxville TN area for most of my life so I know it pretty well. Knoxville has quite a few nice hotels but some of them are a better bang for the buck than others. Whether you’re visiting Knoxville for business or pleasure, you’ll want a comfortable and conveniently located hotel for your stay. Many of the hotels on this list are located near downtown. Downtown Knoxville is a great place for people who enjoy fantastic restaurants or shopping. The area is also easy to walk so you don’t have to worry about getting your car out. The hotels in West Knoxville are just as nice with plenty of parking and great amenities.

The Tennessean Hotel

The Tennessean Hotel Knoxville TN

This gorgeous upscale hotel is housed in a newly restored 1920s-era building right in the heart of downtown Knoxville. The Tennessean oozes sophistication with its richly appointed rooms, spectacular lobby with stained glass ceiling, and rooftop bar offering panoramic city views. Amenities include a fitness center, ballrooms for events, and an acclaimed on-site restaurant. It’s hard to beat the central location just steps from the University of Tennessee and popular attractions like Market Square.

Crowne Plaza Knoxville Downtown University

Crowne Plaza Knoxville

For those looking for contemporary luxury combined with Southern hospitality, the Crowne Plaza delivers. This towering hotel overlooks the World’s Fair Park and University of Tennessee campus. Elegant rooms and suites feature modern decor and amenities like flat-screen TVs and plush bedding. Enjoy the indoor pool, well-equipped fitness center, and tasty farm-to-table cuisine at the on-site restaurant. Plus, a complimentary shuttle makes it easy to explore downtown Knoxville.

The Oliver Hotel

Oliver Hotel Knoxville

History buffs will adore this boutique gem dating back to 1876, which seamlessly blends its 19th-century past with modern comforts. No two rooms or suites are exactly alike at The Oliver, providing a unique experience in accommodations featuring antique furnishings and contemporary amenities. Have a cocktail in the glamorous Peter Kern Library bar, and enjoy the prime location on the lively Gay Street, lined with shops, restaurants, and nightlife.

Courtyard by Marriot Knoxville

Courtyard by Marriot

For a reliable stay at an affordable price, consider this Courtyard by Marriot in Knoxville. They have three different locations in Knoxville. One of them is downtown and the other two are in West Knoxville. While not quite as luxurious as some properties, this hotel offers well-appointed rooms and suites with double or king beds. Guests appreciate perks like the courtyard pool, fitness center, and free shuttle service. This is the perfect hotel for people who want to stay somewhere nice without breaking the vacation budget.

Hilton Knoxville

Hilton Downtown Knoxville

This sleek high-rise hotel towers over the city’s vibrant downtown area, offering superb views along with upscale accommodations. At the Hilton Knoxville, guests enjoy newly renovated rooms and suites with signature bedding, large workspaces, and high-end amenities. On-site facilities include an outdoor pool, a modern fitness center, Marble City Kitchen restaurant, and over 16,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville West

Embassy Suites by Hilton

For an all-suite extended stay option, this Embassy Suites is a terrific choice. Settled in West Knoxville, the hotel offers suites with separate living areas, mini-fridges, and microwaves – ideal for longer visits. Start your day with the complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, and enjoy the indoor pool, fitness center, and casual restaurant during your stay.

Drury Inn and Suites

Drury Inn

Drury Inn is one of my favorite hotels in Knoxville because it is very nice and has a lot of amenities. It is located in West Knoxville near all of the best dining and shopping. They give a free “adult beverage” and dinner to every guest. Their petty policy allows you to bring ANY type of pet as long as you don’t leave it alone in the room without you. Drury Inn is the best bang for the buck out of all the places on my best hotels in Knoxville TN list.

Knoxville offers hotels to suit any taste and budget, from luxurious historic properties to trusted chain brands. No matter where you stay, you’ll be well-positioned to experience the best of this scenic city in eastern Tennessee.
